… at a theatre near you!

Well, today I managed to go off to watch a movie that I’ve planning to over the past couple of weeks. And since these were the last few days till the next change (for M:I – III), today was probably the last chance for me.

Anyway, the movie was excellent. Although fictional and mostly to suit the kids, it was one of those books that I read when I was a kid. The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe was a journey, now even so visually enchanting as was Lewis in his book.

If you live in any city of Pakistan, you are bound to get in touch with a bunch of half-sane or fully insane people in the theatre. Their calling, whistling, jeering and commenting won’t stop; not unless you’re in a higher costing theatre, such as the Universe Cineplex over at Sea View.

Most of you may already have heard the news that there are about 127 screens to be opened up all across the major cities of Pakistan. I was pretty surprised that Islamabad doesn’t have any cinema screen. Anyway, so these will be multiplex screens across Karachi, Lahore and Islamabad to start with, and possibly going forward to other cities in the future.

Not only that, further developments are taking place whereby all new movies would be released in a short span from the actual worldwide release – leading on to being released simultaneously here too.

That’s entertainment, I guess we can all sit back and enjoy a good show after all!

  1. It would be great to be able to go and see good movies on the big screen. I used to regulary go to Nishat and Capri, but with a 2 year old son it becomes a little difficult. I hope they have good places for kids also.
