Yesterday was my day… everything falling in its place at the right time, and all things concluding smoothly. The same could be said about last night, when I went to the preview show of Mission: Impossible – III, the Red Carpet night.
What could go wrong when you have all the famous people of the city showing up in crowds to enjoy a good show and thanking their friends for the invitation?
For the first time in my life in the city, I’ve seen a crowd so decent and well-behaved, the entire movie went without any nuisance airing and jeering from the lot. Believe me, it was more than what I could ask for, apart from the occasional crying from the little kids around. But then this was more of a family oriented event where the general public was not invited.
Just a note, the public premiere of the movie is on the 16th of June (ie Friday), for which you guys can get the tickets on booking early on. I would recommend you get that ticket today, or lose your chances for tomorrow. For most of you, especially those preferring the Circle seats, I guess you won’t be able to make till after this weekend.
On to the movie now, it was good. More so on the big screen, but probably may not be so much of a fun watching on your TV. Of course, as is the case for most movies these days, quite a bit of unreal stuff. For example, Tom Cruise standing at the edge of a sky-scraper rooftop in China and there’s no wind or draft blowing him away – amazing isn’t it? Later, while a plunges down with a parachute, with the “Rabbit’s Foot”, he is completely blown away with a violent breeze. I wonder if he had all that wind blowing him away around 15 odd stories below, why not at the rooftop. That’s Hollywood I guess.
Other than that, a good watch, and certainly didn’t think I was wasting my time… ESPECIALLY when the environment you’re in is so peaceful.
Next on my list:
– Miami Vice
– The Fast & The Furious: Tokyo Drift
– The Inside Man
– X-Men III: The Last Stand
– Superman Returns
