Add some blog to your life

Do you blog? If yes, what was your initial motivation and what is now? If not, what would be your motivation to blog?

These are the questions I have put up on Twitter (which would update my FaceBook status too), and I’d really like to know how many of my contacts actually do blog, and what is/was their motivation to blog.

Earlier today we met up with Nick Fielding, journalist and one of the owners of iMediate, who had flown in from the UK about a week ago. He has flown to Afghanistan and Pakistan earlier too, and his primary reason for meeting us was to get an idea of how the blogosphere has evolved here in Pakistan. Surely, we cannot be the voice of absolutely every blogger in the country, we did try to our best understanding and capacity to at least speak about most of them, and reasons why people usually blog, based on our experience and intereaction with people.

People present in the meet up were Jehan Ara, Ammar Yasir, Sabeen Mahmud, Fariha Akhtar, Farzal Dojki, Munir and me.

Awaiting your responses to the question… and I’d say that you should all blog. Why? Because we all have something to say about everything, and expressing shouldn’t be restricted to our minds…

  1. Interesting question, but I would like to inquire those who dont blog, and despite the “happening environment” 😛 around them nothing has inspired them to blog.
